2023 at Broadstone Mill Shopping Outlet

Wow, what a fantastic year we’ve just had. We wanted to thank you, our loyal customers and friends, for all of your continued support. Without this, all of the amazing changes and improvements we have made in store wouldn’t have been possible, and we have lots more exciting events and plans for 2024… Watch this space!

From launching our newly refurbished Tea Room and Cafes, to late night Christmas shopping events, and a whole new rebrand throughout the store, there’s been plenty going on to keep us busy behind the scenes. Here’s some of the highlights from 2023.

Tea Room and Cafe Refurbishment

Last year started with the launch of Angelica’s Tea Room on our first floor. This was a huge project that felt necessary to bring our first floor to life a little, and you must admit it looks amazing! Relocated towards the front of the store near the windows, complete with bespoke furnishings and a brand new menu including a delicious afternoon tea, Angelica’s Tea Room is something we have been very proud of, and has really opened up the space for us to play around with more this year.

We thought it unfair to leave Cafe Moda out on our ground floor, and so towards the end of the year this got a makeover too - now Caffe Massarella! This Italian-style cafe is another project that we thought needed prioritising, along with the newly fitted customer toilets on both floors. If we do say so ourselves, both of our cafes are looking brilliant, and well worth the visit for a bite to eat if you haven’t been already.

Rebrand

Next on the list this year was a rebrand throughout the store. Our old branding felt pretty dated, and although we haven’t strayed too far from that, our new logo feels just right. Classic, simple, bold - we love it! This was, however, a huge job that involved changing all of our signage across the store, outdoor displays, and more - and it didn’t feel complete without having a brand new website too. Again this took a lot of work behind the scenes, but the finished product is something that has brought us back to this century, as well as being able to better communicate our offers, sales, events and other news to the world around us.

Launch and Christmas Parties

Any excuse to throw a party! What better way to celebrate our rebrand than to throw a late night shopping event for our fabulous customers, where they could shop exclusive discounts and offers, enjoy a glass of fizz and some nibbles while they shopped, and just for us to have a good chat and celebrate with the people that have supported us all year.

This was such a success that we decided to throw another party in the run up to Christmas, which featured live music, mince pies and more festive offers to shop exclusively on the night. Karen, our live singer, was an absolute hit, and we enjoyed working that night as much as the customers enjoyed shopping - yet another fantastic opportunity to say a great big thank you for the support from our customers and have a little boogie together on the shop floor.

Breakfast With Santa

We ended the year with a visit from the big man himself - Santa took time out of his busy schedule to visit us not once, not twice, but THREE times to read a story and give out presents to lots of lucky children in our Tea Room! All three mornings were magical, and we look forward to having him back next year if he can make some time for us again.

With lots of new concessions, monthly artisan markets in our car park (last Saturday of every month, starting again in March), and more customers coming through the doors than ever before, we can safely say that 2023 was one of our most exciting years yet here at Broadstone Mill Shopping Outlet! And we’re not stopping there… We have some very exciting things planned for 2024, and we can’t wait to share it all with you. Expect more NEW concessions in store, improvements to the store facilities and there’s lots of fun events in the pipeline already.

2024, we’re coming for you!
